My Friend Summer...

Look who stopped by, my friend Summer! Isn't she just adorable! This is another cutie from TGF Roll Call kit, which you can get here. This week at ATS weekly challenge  calls for using carribean blue, pink, and celery.

What a fun colors to play with. I used copics and couldn't resist some stickles shimmer on her. The cute ribbon I got from Michael's, and dp are from Me&My Big Ideas and Autumn Leaves. I followed the fantastic sketch from Club Anya Sketchy Saturday #24.  I'm so glad I got to finish this in time!

Thanks for stopping by! ;)

Jade's in the house...

Few weeks back I got my TGF Roll Call kit and some AmyR's sentiments, and just over the weekend I was finally able to finish cutting them up and ready for some inkin' fun! I totally love Jade from the Roll Call set, she looks so mysterious, but yet so very sweet. For inspiration I followed the Whimsical Wednesday's month long challenge. The colors are so fun to play with, and just the perfect way to start the summer.

Jade was so much fun to color, and she's my first attempt at hair "feathering", which came out better than I expected. Check out this amazing video by Lysa. She makes some pretty awesome cards.
Couldn't resist to add some glossy accents to Jade's star and her boots. I used two MS punches to make the border behind her, and finished with some flowers, button and dew drop. Sentiment is also from the Roll Call set.

Challenges:
Whimsical Wednesday: photo inspiration
Club Anya: WCW sketch

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day! ;)

Cards, Cards, Cards...

Lately I felt I've made so many cards that I couldn't keep up with posting them. But in reality, it was just a few. It just takes me long to get one finished! LOL! I've had birthdays, graduations, and Father's Day. If I was better organized I would have finished the one for my DH first, but I didn't =(  so I owe him one!
I was so caught up in making the graduation cards, that for the birthday cards I needed, I used some of the ones I already made...uh, I guess that what they're for! Then I had 3 cards to make for Father's Day (that would be my DH, my dad, and FIL-just to make it clear LOL!), but I only ended up with one...and it didn't turned out so good. First it was supposed to be an easel card, but it ended up being a tent card. But when I glued down everything and stood up the card, the inside image was NOT right! I guess cuz I glued it to the back, it was "looking" down. Don't know if you can understand what I'm trying to describe, but I can tell you it was so odd, I didn't even take a pic of it!! LOL!

I did have better luck with my grad cards - all three of them!!

First one is for my nephew's high school graduation. The cute grad owl is from a website that I can't remember.  I was searching thru so many, I forgot to get the link for it. Anyway, I made the "congratulations" background paper using MS Word. Then just popped on the shiny grad owl, and of course used the school colors. Kept it pretty simple since it was for my nephew, can't be too cute! hehee!

I had a lot fun making these two cards for my nieces. They are sisters and both are graduating this year, one from middle school and the other from elementary.
For the older sister, I used the adorable monkey from ATS Flower Power set, which also comes with the single flower with l'il ladybug atop! I used copics, stickles and glossy accents to make it shiny! Again I made the Happy Graduation circle from MS Word, and even had to handcut this circle! Boy that was nerve wrackin! I had to fill-in lots of red around the black border with a black sharpie. I think I need to get a round nestie! DP is from Creative Imaginations which my dd helped pick out at Michael's. Finished it with a piece of cardstock stamped with stars and a few dew drops!

Next up is the card for the younger sister, she's going to start middle school next fall! I love this adorable star bugg fairy from Tiddly Inks. Her school colors are maroon and white, so that's what I went with. Copics, stickles are glossy accents are here again to make the sweet fairy shine! I found this cute DP from Basic Grey at the local Beverly's craft store. Didn't want to cut it up, but I did...very sparingly! Ooh, and the sentiment is from AmyR's Big Words set. I love this set, and of course the Handy Additions set too!

Pheww...that was long! Thanks for stopping by and to read my ramblings...
Have a great day! ;)
