Think Spring...

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We had some crazy weather here in San Francisco Bay Area, some sun, rain, and even snow!! But it has calmed down, and today is sunny with cool temps...ummm, seems a little like SPRING!! That's exactly what coming up at Lollipop Crafts, Tammy is our hostess this week and her fun challenge is to
THINK SPRING!!
This week I used Ching-Chou Kuik's Dance of Butterfly from Sweet Pea Stamps, which you can find here.

Following the spring theme, I made an easel card and used flowers, butterflies, and a sentiment of love...that's what spring is all about!

Please stop by Lollipop Crafts to check out the gorgeous spring projects from my team mates...and join in on the fun!

POP of color...

Hi everyone! Hope you all are enjoying this long weekend!

Today at Lollipop Crafts, we have another fun challenge. Alanna is our hostess for this week and she has chosen BLACK AND WHITE WITH A POP OF COLOR as the theme, and our sponsor for the week is Robyn's Fetish. Our team were provided with a few digis to play with, and I chose Bookworm for my card.

I attempted to make my first gatefold card. It was pretty easy following this simple tutorial I found here. Sentiments are from AmyR Stamps and Raindrop Echo Designs. Here's a pic of the inside...

Please stop by the Lollipop Crafts blog to see what the Lollipop Girls have created for this week. All the details are there for a chance to win some fun images from Robyn's Fetish!

Lollipop Challenge #26...

Hi everyone! Happy Valentine's Day!! Hope you had a fabulous weekend! The weather here (near SF, CA) was absolutely gorgeous, sunny and mild temps. . . but that is gone now, and the rain is back for the week. Oh well, we need the rain as much as the sun!
Today at Lollipop Crafts, Kim has new challenge for us. . . use your favorite color medium. It could be copics, water colors, pencils, or whatever you prefer to color your images with and this week's sponser is JLJ Designs!

I only color with Copics, but I would love to try other techniques - {sigh!} maybe some day. Back to the card, this week our sponser, JLJ Designs, have generously given us some cute digis to play with! I chose Sugarplum Fairy Bear, isn't she a sweetheart?! For this image I used the following Copic colors: V000, V12, V15, V17, E40, E41, E43, R20, and 0Blender.
I added Liquid Pearls to her outfit and Stickles to her wings. The flower flourish was made with Sakura Glaze gel pens - first I stamped the image on and then traced it over with the gel pens. When dried it gives a light embossed texture...think I'll be using this more often!

So, pick your favorite coloring tools to create something spectacular and join us at Lollipop Crafts
for a chance to win some cute images from JLJ Designs!

LOVE is everywhere...

Guess who I found hiding. . .Miko from TGF's Roll Call Kit. Don't you think she's the perfect cutie for a valentine card?  This week at Club Anya's Mystery Monday is a gorgeous card by Linapyssel! Here's my version of the fun layout. . .

Using one of my favorite color combos, pink and green, I colored Miko in copics and just gave her a slight shimmer on her dress and bows with Sakura clear stardust pen. The heart and key punch is from Martha Stewart, perfect for the journal paper called Love Letters from Little Yellow Bicycle. Used a strip of hearts from Basic Grey's Olivia papers, pink cardstock is embossed with a cuttlebug folder, background cardstock is randomly stamped with AmyR's sentiment set, and the hearts and stars banner is a border stamp from Recollections (found at Michael's).
Here's a little tip for those who don't have many colors of floss or baker's twine. . .I used a kraft colored hemp cord and inked it with green chalk inkpad. Now I have the perfect twine to tie my buttons!

Candy Land....

Hi all! I'm so excited to share my first project with you as part of the Lollipop Crafts DT! Our hostess this week is Kris, and the challenge is to create anything but a card! Now what perfect timing to do little treat box for Valentine's Day!

This week's challenge is sponsered by Meljen's Designs, and they are offering 4 digis to one lucky winner! There are a ton of whimsy cute images, not to mention lots freebies to choose from . . . a new one every Monday! I chose Candy Land Dreams for my treat box. Colored the image with copics, made it sparkly and shiney with stickles and glossy accents! Doesn't it look yummy!! Fiddled around with the measurements, I turned a basic card into a treat box just right for holding a couple of bite-sized candies!

Be sure to join the fun over at Lollipop Crafts to see more gorgeous projects from the team, and for a chance to win your choice of 4 digis from Meljen's Designs!
