Beanie Anya...

Hi everyone! I'm back with another FFF challenge, and combined with Jen's Saturday Sketch challenge from Club Anya. On FFF, it's a myster color challenge...use turquoise and black, plus one other color of choice...I chose pink and used the cutie Beanie Anya! From Club Anya, I followed the fabulous sketch by Jen, and here is the result...

Beanie Anya was so much fun to color! Used only a bit of gloss on her boots and hair ties, and added a rhinestone for her button. The flowers and clip are from Joy, dp is Basic Grey's Olivia, and the pretty ribbon I found at Michael's. Okay...this is getting me in the mood for Valentine's Day cards!

FFF - Mercy's Sketch...

Hi everyone! I've been working on a small project, but I can only share a small part of it for now. I used a fun, fun sketch from Mercy over at TGF's FFF current challenge... and this adorable  New Year Anya!

Inspired by Amy Y.'s card, I used similar colors of black and silver, and added some pink. The sparkles of silver makes Anya so ready for a formal party to ring in the new year!

The dp is from DCWV glitter mat stack, ribbons and rhinestones are from Michael's, and the silver flower with pearls are from my old stash of wedding favors supplies. that's it for now...

Happy New Year...

Hi everyone and Happy New Year!! Can't believe 2011 is here...ten years has passed since the "millenium"...seems like it was just year 2000 yesterday! 2010 seemed to have flown by so quickly (like all the past years), and one of the many fond memories during this past year was starting my own blog and meeting so many sweet, talented, and generous ladies! Thank you to my followers and all the sweet comments. It truly is inspiring!! *•-:¦:-•:*'''''*:•-:¦:-•*!!*•-:¦:-•:*'''''*:•-:¦:-•*!!*•-:¦:-•:*'''''*:•-:¦:-•*!!*•-:¦:-•:*'''''*:•-:¦:-•*!!*

Now, onto my card...

This image is from Ching-Chou Kuik's collection called Koi, and you can find this and many other beautiful images here at Sweet Peas Stamps. I actually got this stamp a while ago, but was kinda scared to ink it up because I didn't think I could color it like the beautiful samples made by the DT on the Sweet Peas Stamps Blog. But because the image itself is gorgeous, it wasn't as difficult as I thought. I saw this zigzag fold on Kim's blog, and thought it would be perfect layout to highlight the image.

This card fits these challanges:
Lollipop Crafts - Fancy folds
In a Sweet Dream - Ribbons and bows
Stamp Something - Something with glitter

Wishing everyone a healthy, happy new year!!

Gifts for Teachers...

Christmas is almost here!! The kids are now out for a two week winter break, and yesterday we passed out cookie bags to their teachers. We always include the kids previous teachers as well, it's a tradition that my daughter came up with back when she was in first grade...now she's a beautiful teenager in 8th grade! I have to say we can only do this for the elementary school teachers she and her brother has/had. To include the middle school teachers would be quite a task! Here's the quick tag I put together...

The darling gingerbread man is from Pink Gems and the back tag is again the Meljen's image...love using it!

Holiday Cupcakes...

Only 11 more days until Christmas!!! Went shopping this weekend with the kids and DH, got a good start, but much more to do!! Well, gonna make this quick so I can get more holiday crafts done. To start, I was planning this for the Lollipop Crafts Challenge, but missed the deadline :( ... so went over to Meljen's challenge, and it was a perfect fit! Color challenge #37 is to use red, green, and gold - very traditional holiday colors!

I used the cupcakes trio and holly leaves, both freebies from Meljen's. To make them holiday cupcakes, I added a red ribbon and popped on the tiny holly leaves! Used plenty of stickles and shiny gloss accents to make it all spakly!

I also found a new challenge over at Sundays with Crissy. She has adorable, sweet images, but this challenge is open to use any image with a winter theme!

Thanks for stopping by! ;)

Christmas Tags...

Is anyone ready for the holidays? I know I'm not...hehee! Today I'm sharing my tags that I made for the Monthly Tag Swap hosted by Kyoko. This time around it was for both Nov and Dec, so we had to make two sets! I was a bit late, but was finally able to get it out earlier this week to my partner!
First set I used an adorable penguin from Di's digis, there are some many cuties! First try at using flock on the hat...I used the MS flocking powder, thought it would have been more fluffier, guess I'll have to experiment some more. Added some shine and stickles on his scarf. The back was stamped with AmyR's Winter Sentiments and border stamp from Recollections line at Michael's.

My second set is images from Tiddly Inks. These adorable fairies are Bah-Huggabuggs, so cute! Couldn't resist to add spakles everywhere! For the back, I printed a Meljen image, a freebie this time, cut it out, colored the holly, inked the edges, and tied it on! Over at Tiddly Inks, this week's challenge is Christmas Caroling..."Oh christmas tree, oh christmas tree, of all the trees most lovely..."

There's so much more to get done before Christmas...
Thanks for stopping by! ;)

edited: sorry the printed freebie is from Meljen's Designs, not Tiddly Inks.
