Snow Family...

Hello friends! Today is Thursday which means it's sponsor spotlight on Lollipop Crafts...
"Hi my name is Stitchy and I am Co-Owner of Stitchy Bear Stamps. We started this store on April 1st, No fooling haha..I live in upstate New York with my husband and two TEENAGE adults haha. I do say that loosely as they think they run the show here, NOT...
I've been creating stamps for less than a year now and I am totally addicted to the craft..I started about 4 years ago making digital scraps and I knew there were much more out there, so a friend of mine introduced me to digital stamps...and the rest they say is history...I look forward to seeing all the beautiful creations come through...good luck everyone... stitchy xoxox"

My card features a snowman family trio...

Kept the layout CAS, colored it up with Copics and followed Amy's fabulous tutorial on coloring snowman. Didn't really have the exact colors, but it's close. :)  Added ice stickles for the snow and used the good ole stardust gelly pen for some sparkle all over. Paper is from Recollections Jolly and Bright paper pad, and sentiment is from Imaginisce.

Head on over to Lollipop's blog  to see more inspiration from the team and join in on the current challenge.
Thanks for stopping by! ;)

Halloweeeeeen....

Hello everyone!! Sorry for going MIA, but I've been recovering from health issues, and I'm so glad to be back!! And just in time for Lollipop Crafts new Monday challenge...HALLOWEEN!!!! Create a card/project with anything Halloween related, and you're in!

My card today features TGF's Ian as Hallo Skeleton...

Over at the Farm, the final FFF challenge for the current team is to case any of the DTs. It's was so hard to pick one designer, they are ALL so fabulous!! But I ended up chosing 1LUVNMAMA and her card HERE. Mama's super talent always produces amazing work, just check out her blog! She's become a good blogging friend, and her beautiful projects always inspire me. But mine never comes out quite like hers! LOL!
Thanks to a fab tutorial by Amy Young at Color Me Copics, I TRIED to color Ian's face using the zombie skin technique. But not having the colors that Amy used, I had to improvise and used E00, W1, W3, and BV23. I also added a touch of YG00 along the edge of the mask and skeleton bones to make it look "glow in the dark".  Now that I look at the picture, I should have darkened his suit a bit more. Think I'll do that before I give it away yet to my October's Secret Sister. Can you believe it... I'll be early this month! LOL!!

Sorry for the long post...but it's been a while! hehee! Time to go over to check out more fabulous eye candy from the Lollipop girls, and all the deets on the current challenge. Our wonderful sponsor this week is Meljen's Designs
and they are offering a fabulous prize of their CUTE DIGIS!

Thanks for all the visits while I was out...and for stopping by today!
Have a great day!! ;D

Make-up Challenge...

Hey all! Can you believe I have another post!! heehee! Well, you have to check out the Color Me Copic challenge where the fabulous Kelly Booth does an amazing toot on eye make-up technique. My shades are a bit darker, but I think it came out alright. This sweet Halloween witch from TGF is too cute to be scary...just look at her sweet face! Magic dust (actually stickles) on her hat and broom, some shimmerz on her dress, and she's ready to fly the night sky...

I made a treat box earlier for one SIL, and this is for another SIL's birthday! This is an easel card on top of a drawer full of sweet goodies! Okay, this is the last of my Halloween stuff, but I'm on a roll this month. I have one more project to share soon!

Thanks for stoppping by! ;)

Halloween Birthday...

Hi all! It's definitely been a while since I've posted anything...days just seem to fly by! I have been visiting your blogs and there's been so much Halloween fun out there! I finally got a chance to do one myself...

This was so much fun to make! Inspired by Kim Y.'s awesome project, I just had to try it myself! The image used is from Tiddly Inks called "Cast Your Spell". It's super cute...just love the poof of magic dust! The sentiment stamps are from Amy R's The Best, Big Words, and Handy Additions sets...

This treat box is filled with some yummy chocolate...
From the side views:

This will be for my SIL's birthday coming up...on Halloween! I will have to make one more for another SIL's birthday...her's is on the day before Halloween!

All Star...

Now, why is it so tough to make cards for boys?? Took me a while to think of what to do, but thanks to some great challenges...I put them all together and got this...
Following Tamiko's challenge, and the toughest part for me on this card was altering the image. It felt so weird to cut off  switch the heads of Dylan and Paul (both from the TGF Roll Call kit)! Even my kids said "WHY did you do that??" Then of course I explained it to them, and "ohhhh" was all they said. lol! Another challenge I followed was Color Me Copic's Challenge #4...take a look at this amazing toot by Amy on straight hair! The basketball is from my son's old sticker collection...which was in a big ziploc bag ready for donation! Luckily I remembered it was there, otherwise I would have been looking everywhere to find a basketball! Sentiment is computer generated and cut out with a Spellbinders label die...the green "ribbon" is actually cardstock! did I fool ya?? hehee!

Special Thanks...

It's been so slow for my to get back into making cards. The kids have been back to school for a week now, so finally I found some quiet time to make this card...which is going to someone that I won awesome candy from awhile back. I'm not mentioning her name here, cause I wanna surprise her! But she is super talented and so inspirational!
I tried quite a few new techniques here. First I followed a fantastic tutorial from Color me Copic, made by the one and only Amy Young, on coloring curly hair. All I can say is she makes it look so easy, but I defninitely need to practice ALOT more! I also "tried to" distress the edges...didn't look like it made much difference. Lastly, I used some fabulous Shimmerz on the flowers...think I need more colors now! hehee! Oh..and I followed one of the FFF sketch by Mercy!

Color Me Copic Challenge #2...

Wow...can't believe it's been almost one month since my last post. Went camping the last weekend of July, very minimal internet. I had to miss the TGF's birthday bash! :( Then after camping, we took a family vacation to Disneyland and Legoland! The kids had a blast! Since they are old enough to go around the park with their cousins, hubby and I took it easy. Didn't ride too many things, getting old...LOL! Anyway, two days after our trip, my son had his 10th birthday party! I tried to pre-plan as much as possible, but there's always last minute stuff to do. I didn't really have anything in his party bags that matched his theme (Mario Brothers), so the quickest and easiest thing I could come up with was to wrap the candy bar. This is what I did on Saturday for his party on Sunday!
Pheww, so glad things are slowly getting back to the normal schedule...and back to school next week!

Now let's get to the card. My son's friend's birthday was today, so he wanted me to make a card. Ok...now card for a 10 year-old boy...that took me a while to think of something. Luckily I came across these images from Tiddly Inks. Not girly, and not too kiddish (if that's a word)! Found a great sketch at Taylored Expressions, and finally came up with this...

Over at Color Me Copic, there's a great challenge and toot on grass by Kim. Was a little worried about the colors I used, but it turned out ok. I didn't add the little flowers though since the card is for a boy.

Card is for the challenges at:
Color Me Copic - Grass Tutorial Challenge
Taylored Expressions - TESC #125
Lollipops Crafts - Pets (oops missed the deadline!)

Color Me Copic - Challenge #1

Color Me Copic is having their first challenge...to use black and white! Ooh, and the fabulous Rachel has an excellent tutorial on her amazing technique. I definitely had a lot of fun doing this challenge, and I chose Swiss Pixies Ladybug Nora for my card. She can be found at ATS.

used a recent ATS sketch...

and came up with this...

All the b/w paper is from my dd's old papers for paper clothes, was lucky to find scraps that were big enough to use on the card. Also used an image background from Bugaboo stamps (and they're having a great sale right now). Couldn't resist using my stickles, only a touch on her wings and headband! and a shiny ladybug to finish! The flower is made with two little flower punches, and used MS butterfly punch...wish i had a smaller butterfly punch too!

Thanks for stopping by! ;)
