Dear Hubby...

Happy Monday! Today I'm celebrating a special day with my hubby... it's our anniversary! He surprised me with a dozen red roses this morning... that he put together after I went to sleep last night. But then he had to work today, so we will go out for a nice dinner another night! I baked him some yummy banana bread and made this card...
It was hard to find a image that would fit a guy and for an anniversay, but I came across this retired TGF stamp set and it came with a perfect sentiment, "hoo loves you"? and the inside says "me!" (sorry forgot to take a pic of it) Finally I was willing to use some of the SEI Moonrise paper that I've had for the lonnnngest time!
added alot of dimensions... can you tell?

Well, hope he likes it and the bread!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
my dear... I love you!

card supplies:
Image-TGF Hoo Loves You (retired); paper-SEI Moonrise, DCWV cardstock; Spellbinders - circle, tear drop circles; Sizzix-Flourish diecut; Copics; Memento Tuxedo Black; Colorbox Chalk browns; white gel pen; misc flowers

I picked Surfer Anya because Sony lives in Puerto Rico! Warm, sunny, beautiful beaches everywhere! I found a great sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch, flipped it up for this sweet image. Girl Princess...

Hi all! Are you surprised to hear from me again so soon? heheeee! I sure am!  Lately, my mojo's been either really detailed cards, like the one here, or CAS cards like the one today...

Got a fun sketch from Raise The Bar, and they're celebrating their 100th challenge! It's a pretty fun one too, see how it resembles the number 100? The stamp image is from TGF Build A Onsies Girl set, and I have the boy set too! Finally got a chance to ink it up and thought it would be fun to make a few small gift cards (4x4 size).  So far I only made this one... LOL! The Farm Fresh Friday Challenge is to use classic patterns paper, so I chose "argyle" with fun colors! I'll be inking up my boy Onsies set soon, but there's some birthday cards I need to finish for this weekend! I'll be sharing those with you soon!

Card Supplies:
Image - TGF Build A Onsies Girl set (TGF clear stamps)

BIG Achievement...

Happy Monday everyone!  Was your weekend filled with happy memories? On Saturday, our family certainly had two big events to celebrate... my son passed his karate test for his Jr. Black Belt! and my wonderful hubby's big 50th birthday! We had a big celebration at home with family and friends, and just ate all night! I always forget to take pictures of the food, but we had prime rib, cioppino, bun rieu (a vietnamese noodle soup), with plenty of sides and desserts! A mini buffet right at home!

So this week's challenge at Lollipop Crafts is an easy one... ANYTHING GOES! Head on over to the blog to see some awesome eye candy! A traditional custom is to present your Sensei with a thank you gift at the belt award ceremony. This is the card my son wanted me to make for his Sensei...
Very simple layout. Karate Ian colored in his Sensei gi's colors, red cardstock stamped with "thanks" as the background, and "Arigato" cutout is from Jenny!

Cameron started this journey when he was in kindergarten, and throughout all these years (he's only 11), he continued to climb each step and grow along the way, to finally reach this amazing achievement! His Sensei says he is the youngest of the dojo to obtain a Jr. Black Belt. We are so very proud of him! I decorated a couple of chipboards with the same image, colored it to represent his gi and new belt, and a congrats sign for his favorite cake... OREOS!!!
Let me just say that this past month, he trained so hard in order to pass this test, I was so stressed out just watching him train. When Saturday morning came, I think I was more nervous than he was! The testing didn't start until 2pm, so the wait was just agonizing! I'm so glad that he performed so well, and I can see the determination in his face during the whole TWO HOURS!
Okay... that's enough for me today. I will share the other celebration we had on Saturday night on another post! Head over to Lollipop Crafts to see more of the DT wonderful inspiration, and hope you can join the fun!

Let's Celebrate...

March is always a busy month of birthdays... there's a few wonderful friends, four family members, plus my dear husband, and ME (today)! I don't see it as a day to celebrate me, but rather a day to spend with family & friends and have a good time together! and it gives me a reason to eat more dessert than I should! LOL!

Anyways, it was a blast to celebrate Kris' birthday blog hop.  Hope you all had a chance to see all the beautiful cards made! So today, I will have a little surprise for one random commenter on this post. Tell me what's your favorite way to celebrate your birthday! The lucky winner will be picked on Sunday March 18th!

Thanks for stopping by...  ;D
Have a wonderful weekend!

Anything Goes...

Happy LATE Monday! It's a brand new challenge at Lollipop Crafts today, and the theme this week is... ANYTHING GOES!! I'm a bit late in posting this, but I have a fun card to share with you...
This is one of The Greeting Farm's gorgeous stamps, Beanie Anya, and she's been colored up for awhile now... just waiting for me to put her together with some pretty papers! This coloring technique was done with Copics, more about it here on this post. The awesome sketch is from the brand new TGF Farm Fresh SCS Saturday Sketch Challenge, you can find out all the details here! Sentiment is also from TGF Clear Stamp sets... actually from three of them - "HUGS" is from Build a Onsies Boy, "KISSES" from Build a Onsies Girl, and "&" from Furever set. All three are  part of an awesome candy win from Margie! The tag punch is from Recollections, and trimmed it smaller to what I needed. Layered the doily atop of a Spellbinder circle nestie, and popped-on Beanie Anya!

TGF Royalty Week #2

Can you believe it??? Two posts in one day? Think that's a first for me... but can't help it. Today is the final day to enter the TGF Royalty Contest for week two. I already missed the first week, so I made this card at the last minute ...literally!

Inspired by the Royalty photo, kept this black and white, but chose purple instead of the hint of green. You would think my wedding color is purple but nope... it was blue! The minute my hubby saw this, he said it reminded him of us...awwww! He got a big kiss for that! LOL!
